EPIC UP Kick-Off-Treffen der Communities of Practice (CoPs) im Leerstand
Am 6. Februar 2025 fand das Kick-Off-Treffen der Communities of Practice (CoPs) im Leerstand bei kitev statt.
Das Treffen war Teil des europäischen Projekts EPIC UP, einer von der Europäischen Union (EU) über das AMIF-Programm geförderten Initiative. Ziel des Projekts ist es, die Integration und Inklusion von Migrantinnen und Migranten auf lokaler Ebene zu verbessern, indem ein erweitertes Modell der Multi-Akteur-Zusammenarbeit entwickelt wird. Koordiniert wird das Projekt von der European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) und vereint 12 Partnerorganisationen sowie 13 assoziierte Partner aus 8 EU-Ländern.
30 Stakeholder – aus dem öffentlichen, privaten und künstlerischen Sektor – kamen im Leerstand zusammen. Alle arbeiten entweder direkt an Integrationsthemen oder sind in irgendeiner Weise damit verbunden. Das Programm des Treffens umfasste verschiedene Aktivitäten, darunter:

🔹 Präsentation des EPIC UP-Projekts
🔹 Diskussion über zentrale Fragen:
Welche Integrationspraktiken funktionieren in Oberhausen gut?
Welche Aspekte können verbessert werden?
Für das leibliche Wohl sorgte das Refugees’ Kitchen, eine lokale Good Practice im Bereich Integration.
Wir freuen uns über ein erfolgreiches Kick-Off-Meeting und blicken gespannt auf eine starke Zusammenarbeit mit den CoPs-Mitgliedern sowie auf die nächsten Schritte des Projekts!
On February 6th, 2025, the Community of Practices (CoPs) Kick-Off Meeting took place at Leerstand, kitev.
The meeting was part of the EPIC UP project, an initiative funded by the European Union (EU) through the AMIF program. The project aims to enhance migrants’ integration and inclusion at the local level by developing an improved model of multi-actor collaboration. It is coordinated by the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA) and brings together 12 partner organizations and 13 associated partners from 8 EU countries.
30 stakeholders from the public, private, and artistic sectors—working on or connected to the topic of integration—gathered at Leerstand. The program included various activities, such as:

🔹 Discussion on key topics:
What integration practices work well in Oberhausen?
What aspects can be improved?
The event was accompanied by delicious food from Refugees’ Kitchen, a recognized Good Practice in local integration efforts.
